Note: Due to the limitations of older lenses with screw-drive AF—such as AF noise and power consumption—the LA-KE1 is designed solely for still photography, and most functions are not available in video mode.

Design

Fully equipped K-mount

With K-mount communication contacts, power contacts, and an AF switch, the LA-KE1 adapter is compatible with K-mount lenses ranging from KAF to KAF4, maximizing lens compatibility.

Two built-in motors

The MonsterAdapter LA-KE1 features both a built-in aperture motor and a Screw-Drive AF motor, enabling K-mount lenses to support autofocus and automatic exposure when used on mirrorless cameras. The LA-KE1 lens adapter can automatically detect and control the conventional mechanical aperture and the electromagnetic aperture of KAF4 lenses, as well as conventional screw-drive lenses and SDM/DC/PLM motor lenses.

No cropping of the bokeh

The interior of the adapter is designed to make optimal use of the available space, ensuring that the bokeh is not cropped when using lenses with a wide aperture.

Integrated metal casting process

The main housing of the MonsterAdapter LA-KE1 is manufactured using an integral die-casting process to ensure the adapter's durability.

Unique focus mode selector switch

Lenses such as the smc DA* Pentax 200mm f/2.8 SDM feature both an SDM motor and a screw-drive focusing mechanism. If the SDM motor fails, you can use this switch to select the AF mode. Position 1 is screw-drive, and position 2 is SDM.

Note: This switch is only compatible with lenses that have two motors.
