I, Markus Inglin, am passionate about images and the technique. Whether they are moving pictures or still ones, I create photos and videos with the right technology. I prefer to do this while diving underwater, but I also enjoy being behind the camera on land.

Biography
From vacation diver to professional underwater photographer and underwater cameraman.
I started scuba diving in 2001 and completed the PADI Open Water certification in the Maldives. After the subsequent diving vacation in Egypt, I became curious about what the Swiss lakes look like. After attending a lake seminar, it was clear that I needed my own diving equipment. I joined the diving club Astacus and have been diving regularly in Swiss lakes and various locations around the world ever since. Whether it's cold water with ice or tropical waters filled with colorful fish.
In early 2003, I bought my first underwater housing for a Canon camcorder. This is how my first underwater video recordings were made. Over time, I continuously improved my skills and equipment. In 2008, I switched to the Canon EOS 5D Mark II DSLR. This was the first camera with a good video function and interchangeable lenses. More and more, I began not only filming with the 5D Mark II but also taking photographs. This led me to establish myself in underwater photography as well.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work as an underwater cameraman on various projects. It all started with RedBull XRow. Later, I worked on programs for Swiss television, SRF DOK "Water Worlds" or Netz Natur, as well as foreign television channels like ARTE and SWR. I also dived with my camera for Swiss short films and feature films.
Twice, in 2017 and 2021, I had the honor of representing Switzerland at the CAMS Underwater Photography World Championship as an underwater photographer. During that time, I achieved a total of 4 Top Ten placements, with my best rank in the fish category at 5th place.
In 2018, I founded my own company, Ingma Pictures. In addition to assignments in underwater photography and underwater video, I also offer courses and workshops on these topics. Since the summer of 2021, I have been an official SEACAM partner and dealer in the German-speaking part of Switzerland.
I am also actively involved in diving and underwater photography and videography on a volunteer basis. I was the president of the Astacus diving club for 16 years. Currently, I have been the chair of the SUSV commission for photo and video for several years.
